The Mechanic is responsible for implementing and maintaining the Savage Maintenance Program. Maintaining and repairing the equipment. Equipment will range from but not limited to, belt conveyors, Coke Cutting Equipment, Overhead Bridge Cranes, troubleshooting hydraulic pump units, and railcar unloading loading systems. 

What You Will Be Doing:

• Perform pre/post-shift equipment inspections.
• Maintain and report spare parts inventory.
• Properly record and complete maintenance reports and service records.
• Repair and maintain pumps, motors, hydraulics, conveyors, and mobile and plant-specific equipment.
• Complete PM services on plant and process equipment.
• Assist with re-railing of railcars, cleanup of spilled rail cars, and track repairs.
• Must be willing to perform any other special tasks assigned by management.
• Supports the Savage S7 Delivery System.

What You Need to Be Successful: 

• High School Diploma
• Experience with automated equipment and basic computers is a plus.
• Must have a strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting background.
• Experience and certification operating a crane is a plus.
• At least 5 years of experience with conveyors, changing rollers, pulleys, motors, changing and vulcanizing belts, hoppers, magnets, scales, etc.
• Strong Safety Background.
