About This Role:
As part of our Commercial Strategy and Market Access service line, the Manager or Sr. Manager, Business Strategy and Analytics, is a critical member of project teams helping our clients identify and evaluate opportunities, develop strategic insights, and outline actionable solutions. Our clients span a multitude of sectors, with a particular focus on MedTech, Diagnostics, and Digital Health. The Manager is responsible for all aspects of project management, from planning to execution and delivery.
What You Will Do:
- Collect, synthesize, analyze, and interpret data from various primary and secondary sources in collaboration with the broader team
- Assess technology and competitor landscapes to inform product/technology roadmaps and strategic recommendations
- Structure and lead business analysis including market sizing, SWOT, modeling, and forecasting
- Manage resources and resource projections to ensure project teams are consistent with client needs, expectations, and contractual obligations.
- Reviews and enhances preliminary drafts of deliverables from junior team members. Provides constructive feedback.
- Generate near client-ready deliverables requiring some review from team management and present all or part of high-impact client-ready deliverables working on 2-3 projects simultaneously.
- Provide training, guidance, and support to product commercialization staff. Provide constructive feedback to less experienced team members and peers.
- Contribute to the development, management, and provision of technical training.
- Grow into a subject matter expert and a point of reference within the Business Strategy and Analytics team and the broader Commercial Strategy and Market Access business unit.
Qualifications:
Required skills:
Advanced Degree Required
- Manager level
- Master’s degree in a scientific discipline (e.g., biomedical engineering, biology, neuroscience, biotechnology, biomedical sciences or related field) and 3-5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in consulting
- PhD in a scientific discipline (e.g., biomedical engineering, biology, neuroscience, biotechnology, biomedical sciences or related field) and 2-6 years of relevant work experience, preferably in consulting, venture capital, private equity, or relevant industry
- Senior Manager level
- Master’s degree in a scientific discipline (e.g., biomedical engineering, biology, neuroscience, biotechnology, biomedical sciences or related field) and 5-9 years of relevant work experience, preferably in consulting
- PhD in a scientific discipline (e.g., biomedical engineering, biology, neuroscience, biotechnology, biomedical sciences or related field) and 3-7 years of relevant work experience, preferably in consulting, venture capital, private equity, or relevant industry
- Advanced ability to effectively manage multiple tasks, stakeholders, and projects plus ability to lead multi-service line client projects
Requirements for both Manager and Sr. Manager
- Strong work experience in a scientific or related technical field
- Ability to present to C-Suite and work across multiple key stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills. Modeling and forecasting skills highly desired
- Excellent written and oral communication
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and projects.
- Ability to communicate complex business concepts to a multi-disciplinary audience.
- Ability to manage team resources to ensure attainment of departmental objectives.
