Job Summary:  

The Director of Information Technology is a pivotal leadership role responsible for aligning IT initiatives with business goals, driving innovation, and ensuring the efficient operation of our technology infrastructure. This position reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer and plays a crucial role in shaping the organization's technological future.  


Essential Job Duties:


• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization to understand business needs and translate them into IT solutions. 
• Drive innovation by staying abreast of emerging technologies and identifying opportunities for their application within the organization.
•Lead vendor management efforts, send out necessary Request for Proposals and negotiating contracts, and ensuring optimal service delivery.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive IT strategy that supports and enhances the organization’s business objectives.

• Manages the IT Operating and Capital budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources while meeting organizational needs.
• Oversee major IT projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
• Lead and mentor the IT team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and customer service.
• Collaborates with Privacy Officer to ensure IT compliance throughout the agency.
• Develop, maintain, and implement IT policies and procedures, standards and best practices.
• Responsible for the management of IT operations, including infrastructure, security and service delivery.

Minimum Education / Experience Required:  
• Master’s Degree and 8 years in Information Technology, with at least 5 in senior leadership role

OR
• Bachelor’s Degree and 10 years in Information Technology, with at least 5 in senior leadership role  

 

Minimum Experience Required:   
• Possess a minimum of 5 years’ experience of at least a director level (or higher) with resource management, Executive level IT supervising technology teams and overseeing large IT projects, preferably within a complex community service, healthcare or similar tax exempt organization that has a multi-site infrastructure supporting 250+ users.
 
License/Registration/ Certifications Required:
• NYS Driver’s License required
• Certifications such as ITIL, PMP, or CISSP are a plus.
 
Training Requirements:  
• New Hire Orientation
 
Physical Requirements: 
The overall nature of the position is sedentary requiring little physical effort with occasional light physical exertion required. There is little, if any, exposure to environmental conditions
• The constant physical demands of the position are sitting, standing and walking.
• The frequent physical demands of the position are talking, hearing, repetitive motions, and eye/hand/foot coordination. 
• The occasional physical demands of the position are climbing, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, balancing, stooping, crouching, reaching, handling, grasping, and feeling.

 

Salary Range:

$91,279.00 - $152,139.00 annually, based on applicable experience
