HR Benefits Coordinator
SUMMARY
Responsible for providing support to employees with benefit and enrollment questions. Assists with various benefit related projects including benefit billing, maintenance, assisting to maintain benefit compliance with required benefit notices, Annual Open Enrollment preparation and employee benefit assistance. Electronic benefit information filing as needed to HR’s confidential drive. Assists in supporting all benefit plans. Performs all duties in accordance with all company policies and procedures, and all federal, state and local laws, wherein the Company operates.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Accurately communicates benefits to employees, answers questions, assists employees in resolving benefit matters with carriers.
• Answers and responds to employees, inquiries from the HR Solution Center, monitors email inbox and telephone line.
• Coordinates benefit billing including Direct Bill LOA and COBRA.
• Liaison to Benefit Carriers for trouble shooting on billing issues as needed.
• Interacts with Benefits Team members to support various projects.
• Acts as an interface between employees and Benefit TPA.
• Assists with assuring company’s benefit policies comply with laws and regulations.
• Assists with annual open enrollment renewal preparation and roll-out.
• Maintains Carrier Contact sheet.
• Works on special Benefits projects as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
Two (2) or more years related work experience
Previous benefits experience desired
SKILLS
Good oral and written communication skills
Good customer service skills, including telephone and listening skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Good attention to detail and high degree of accuracy
Good problem solving and time management skills
Ability to work within a team and to foster teamwork
Ability to prioritize work for multiple projects and deadlines
